Guest speaker: Erica Shelley, PhD. Topic: The 10 Year Journey of a Beekeeper: From Treatment Free to Developing New Treatment Systems Using Fungi.
Brief bio: Erica has taught beekeeping courses in Waterloo region, including at Conestoga College, manages bees for several companies including Manulife and the Kitchener Library, and performs cut-outs using a bee vacuum. As chairperson of Bee City Kitchener she also advocates for native bees and other pollinators through education and installation of pollinator habitat throughout the city.
